im trying too do my own research but im tring to see if i should go with a 264-264 or a 264-272 or 272-272? im not looking to change the turbo and im only looking to go bolt ons and tuning so im looking for 300-350. i didnt know if i should run too big of a lobe with out many mods. what do you guys think would run best with out going crazy. and with the 264-272 are you able to change out the turbo or am i going to change to 272-272 just curious? if i dont go buddy club im going hks just for the reliability.

i didnt know you could get buddy clubs in 272ex and 272int. do you guys think it going to make much of a differance from running a 264/272 vs/272/272. from what rre was saying is if you cant bear the noise in 272 go staggered but is that all there judging on. i think im going to try 272/272 buddy clubs. thanks

thats true what they are saying.... but the power is still there and you can feel it.

my whole question summed up is will i benifit from the bigger lobe of a 272 or should i go with the smaller lobes. the only reason i was thinking 272s is because i have room to play, but i dont thinking im going to go all out. so i dont want to get something thats an over kill. i know its hard to answer because im not sure what other mods are going to accompany them so if you have an opinion i would appreciate it. and what kind of power are you making puttting down with what set up. thanks

i think evo owners are the biggest whiners in the world. seriousl... if you've heard the lope on 272s... it's nothing... it won't make you stall it won't make your car die it's not gonna make your car sound like a nascar it's just a little lope about every 3 seconds and you prolly can't even notice it unless you're really paying attention.

just get the power... why are you modding your car if you're all worried about lope? keep it stock... otherwise... mod it right and get the power.

im not whining about the lobe. i would rather pull up to some one and them here it and know i mean business. i was just trying to figure out with which ones i would get more out of. this is my list of parts that im going with

CAMs (dont know which ones)
fuel pump
helix intercooler piping
works drop in filter
hks down pipe
perrin test pipe
hks ti exhaust
dynoflashed custom tune

and maybe some other thing but nothing to crazy.
so i didnt know if i would benifit more from 264s rather then 272s. like i said i didnt want to buy some thing thats an over kill and not have the better throttle response or feel more lag. im not whhhiiiiniinnnnnn :blam:g g

not sayin' you're a whiner... just sayin' so many people whine about it... and i'm sure you've undoubtedly heard which is why you pose the question.

bigger is better... or in this case longer is better... everything else you can take care of with cam gear tuning or stand alone tuning, and if yer idle really gets that bad... you can always use piggy back to keep it alive.
