is there any advantages to running a intake then just running a drop in like works or k&N. im looking around and alot of people are running drop ins but i see a few evos with intakes. thanks

intake feels like youre losing some low end grunt also it gets wierd with some aftermarket bov.you pick some hp from it better when it is tuned but usually just messes with the airflow and end up suckin hot air.

How about a bigger throttle body?

EVO GRIM, here's a thread you might find interesting.

Basically my car gained a little TQ, and i could definitely feel better throttle/boost response. I didn't gain any HP according to the butt and mustang dyno, but testing from WORKS and Buschur have shown otherwise. My dyno graphs differences could just be due to the different times and conditions when i was on the dyno. Hope this helps.

Basically if you're looking for a mod that gives a good price to power ratio, the WORK$ ApEraturz0rz does not fit that bill. If you're shopping for air filter upgrades, I'm going to make a wild guess and say you're not ready for a throttlebody.

I ran an Apex'i cone intake for awhile. Other than the cool sound it made...I didn't notice any gains or losses...other than the money that I spent on it. I ended up going back to the stock airbox with the K&N filter.
