A couple surprises about the Dodge Charger.

1. 54/46 weight distribution.
2. Four wheel independent suspension.
3. Immense weight @ 4031 lbs. Clearly, Americans just like their cars need to shed some weight.

All the po pos are gonna roll on us in them soon! Chevy isnt making anything RWD 4 doors and either is Ford. Cant wait for a used cop 6.1L auction car to land in my driveway for next to nothing!

Eh...I'd still rather get a GTO...looks much better IMO and has 400hp. Its lighter too.

The GTO has some issues of it's own to overcome. It is still heavy at 3800 pounds, smallish tires which keep it's 1/4 mile times to a 14 or so, bad tranmission and the Pontiac badge.

Has anyone seen those new chargers with a two tone paint job? There's two of em rollin around here in my local area and they look sick.....one with silver about an 1/8 of the top of the door up to the roof and the rest black....the other one is red and black the same way........wouldn't mind having one of those in my collection.....

Nice looking cars but i would go with the SRT-8 magnum, just because i have a strange fondnes for station wagons (i think it is because my first car was a wagon, 92 ford taurus wagon i loved that car)

I really like the magnum too. I was thinking about getting one before the Evo.

My buddy has a 300C SRT8. It's a pretty nice car. Really comfortable on long trips, powerful, and sounds about as mean as my M5 did with headers and exhaust. Not to mention, its REALLY fun when you turn the traction control off. However, that thing cannot turn worth a damn. The suspension is too soft, the transmission shifts really slowly (auto), and the engine just isn't all that responsive. But it's a cool looking car. :)

gotta hold out for the challenger... I saw the proto on the street in carmel and it looked and sounded awesome! For some reason these hemi engines dont do crap with mods. I like the 300c, but the interior was pretty pathetic for what they were asking. Seems like a great car if the price was right.

I much prefer the look of the 300C as well. Many police agencies have already been using the Charger as Police cruisers for a while. Here's a Motorweek Video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5801782486905006260&q=Dodge+Charger+Police+package&total=41&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0) from a while back too 8)
