i think most will allow you to erase the code. mine has an erase button on it, so look for that when you guy the scanner i guess, or it should say on the box. i got a 100 dollar one from pepboys, and it works great.

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of readers that outline bandwidth and other specs? I wouldn't mind getting one just to play with... not that I'd understand anything that it tells me, but you gotta start somewhere, I guess.

Wow, that one looks really good... 20Hz for the Evo is pretty sweet! I was hoping that it was reader and not car-dependent, so this is probably about as good as you can get. Now I just have to figure out how to get a free Palm PDA. :)

cool thanks i went to auto zone and barrowed a Actron OBD II Autoscanner and it worked pretty good. it also had alot more features that i almost started messing with but i realized i didnt know what the F i was doing. if any onw needs one go to auto zone and ask to borrow one if oyu dont want to buy one and they will ask for your license and if you want to take it home you need to put down a deposite. the code that came up was (P0300 multiple cylinder misfire) the reader read all that out so you dont have to look it up, the reader tells you one the spot.
