Well guys,

Things are going very well with the Ecutek tune by Nate Sansa. Nate is an EXCELLENT tuner, and Subaru Specialists are just fantastic to do business with. They are beginning to work with Evos more regularly, and are great with tuning and suspension work. I would encourage all the Sacramento guys, and bay area guys too, for that matter, to consider having them work on your car.

Final Tuning will have to wait for monday, for various reasons that I am ok with, but it looks like I will be at about 272 HP and Torque. Before the criticisim starts, with all my mods, basically works TR-340, I was at 241 on this same Dyno. My car has CONSISTENTLY been the weakest Evo I've seen at any dyno day, etc. For a car like David U's for example, Nate feels that there could be another 15-20 WHP there. So, I'm very happy. S-squared's Dyno also reads lower than a lot of other Mustang Dynos. So, with the 20% difference in s-squared's Dyno to a dyno jet, I'm looking at approx 320 WHP on a dynojet, and approx 370 HP at the crank, which was my goal for this car, 100HP more than stock. Nate has done this with good, safe AFR's (Charts will follow next week), and Boosting no higher than 21PSI, dropping to 19 PSI at redline.

So, I'm looking at a good, safe tune, lots more HP and Torque, dyno-tuned for my car. I'm a happy man! Now just need to get the car back so I can drive it a little bit before Wednesday!

Sweet, Percy! Your butt dyno must be going crazy!

I wonder what Nate is planning on charging for a custom dyno tuned evo...

How does the rest of your hp and torque curves look? When you compare them, is there any loss of hp or torque anywhere along the way vs the P2 flash?

Well,

I won't have the dyno sheets until monday. I have not driven the car yet, these are the preliminary numbers. I'll have a more subjective report on monday afternoon. I'm probably going to be making even more power and torque, as I am searching for a test-pip to replace my cat as we speak.

Nice, did they dyno it before and after on the same dyno so we can compare the curves?

I can't wait to see your new HP and TQ curves.

Percy, curious, since you said you car is down on power compared to others, have you done a compression check?

Also, are you doing a 91map and a 100octane map?

Compression/leak down is great, no problems. My car is just a sissy car!:) Will probably do two maps. The initial results are on 91 octane with CAT. I will be going to a test pipe in august, especially since I only drive the car on the street about one day per week on average. So, with test pipe probably 280+, with 100 Octane close to 300....On a mustang Dyno. I'm happy with that. Yes, my before numbers were ont he same dyno, so I can compare.

Good stuff, that is what I would expect a car with your level of mods to make on the Mustang when tuned.

Good Job Nate and Co at SS!

Did you get your dyno sheets yet? I'm interested to see how the curve looks now it's been tuned.
