Well guys,
Things are going very well with the Ecutek tune by Nate Sansa. Nate is an EXCELLENT tuner, and Subaru Specialists are just fantastic to do business with. They are beginning to work with Evos more regularly, and are great with tuning and suspension work. I would encourage all the Sacramento guys, and bay area guys too, for that matter, to consider having them work on your car.
Final Tuning will have to wait for monday, for various reasons that I am ok with, but it looks like I will be at about 272 HP and Torque. Before the criticisim starts, with all my mods, basically works TR-340, I was at 241 on this same Dyno. My car has CONSISTENTLY been the weakest Evo I've seen at any dyno day, etc. For a car like David U's for example, Nate feels that there could be another 15-20 WHP there. So, I'm very happy. S-squared's Dyno also reads lower than a lot of other Mustang Dynos. So, with the 20% difference in s-squared's Dyno to a dyno jet, I'm looking at approx 320 WHP on a dynojet, and approx 370 HP at the crank, which was my goal for this car, 100HP more than stock. Nate has done this with good, safe AFR's (Charts will follow next week), and Boosting no higher than 21PSI, dropping to 19 PSI at redline.
So, I'm looking at a good, safe tune, lots more HP and Torque, dyno-tuned for my car. I'm a happy man! Now just need to get the car back so I can drive it a little bit before Wednesday!
