View Full Version : How to Install a ZakleeCorp Clear Cam Gear Cover

Not really much to the install...

1. purchase a Zaklee Sightglass Clear Cam Gear Cover

2. use a 10mm wrench or ratchet w/ 10mm socket




btw - this cover will fit aftermarket cam gears and evo engines 4-8




Step 1

Unpack your new cover

as you can see the cover is made of good quality

Step 2

Remove the 4 bolts from each corner of stock cover

Bottom left bolt is the most difficult to remove

Step 3

Set aside old cover

Step 4

Ease in new cover

Step 5

Reuse the stock bolts from the old cover and tighten

Start your car and watch

of course, the next order for this evo is new cam gears.
and with the clear view it will be a nice sight :)

Also easier for the cops to see that you are running adjustable cam gears which are illegal :wink: . Looks good though. I am going to pick one up also but chrome the gears instead.

I made the cam gear cover deeper to clear all aftermarket adjustable cam gears. 8)

Update: I just found out that the clear cam gear cover won't fit the IX - Mivec bulge on the intake cam gear. :cry:

I'm just going to have to change the mold! :lol:
