finally received and installed my typhoon intake. total install time for me was 3 1/2 hrs  the directions were very broad and not as detailed as an ikea instruction. it doesn’t really show you what parts to use and you have to reference back to the first page of the blown parts list. it also didn’t help that i was working at night with gail force winds, thunderstorm and freezing temperature! okay, i'm over exaggerating 8) I was missing a z bracket and went around the house looking for some sheet metal for a custom fabrication. Summary of the intake is good quality parts, but shitty install instructions.

Nice!

I replaced the embedded images with the smaller versions and made them links to the full-sized photos. Hope you don't mind.

Looks good, can you feel any diff. in power on the butt dyno. When i had an open element filter on my EVO it sounded like a vacuum cleaner since the spool up was so loud and the stock BOV was pretty loud too, but i couldn't tell a diff in power.

thanks again tam!

the but-o-meter says that i lost low end power but good midrange punch. yeah, the whoooshh-whooshh sound is alot more louder than stock!

Looks pretty sweet. Let me know how that works out. I got a little nervous about ording one when I read a few reviews people had posted about finding water all over it a few times.

i read the negative reviews at evom.net and so far i have not experience any idling issues. *crossing fingers*

Hey I'm hoping with you I like the cold air intake sound, but I was kind of worried because of how wet this place is this time Of year I was thinking of getting one for the summer and swapping it out for the winter. If anything the summer is when your going to need every little bit with the heat.

looking at the set-ups between the aem and k&n, they are very simular except for the carbon fiber heat shield. either one looks like a good cold air system. tempted to get one now.....
