Me and my buddy took the Evo out for a nice drive starting from Mines Rd in Livermore to the Lick OBSERVATORY on Hwy 130 and then back to the Junction fork & headed towards Patterson. I've been that way several times in other cars but it was the 1st time in my Evo. Here are some pics.

My friend Tyler gave me the idea for that shot. I have other shots of just the CF wing and the background but that one is my favorite because of the view. Others aren't blurred like this one but it's kind of a cool affect. Thanks for the positive comments everyone.

Is your car lowered or stock? Looks like it's sitting on WORKS ride springs.

It's lowered on unknown springs. I couldn't find a name last time I was under the car. I will look a little closer next time I change the oil in a few hundred miles because I am curious myself. The ride is pretty decent and there's not much body roll if any. It is stiffer than stock.

Now honestly, when is the last time you saw a stock evo with tucked rear wheels that make it look like it has a dead body or two in the trunk?

Park your car on an incline and set your parking brake. The rear will dip

We hooked up to it from the Livermore side. You can just exit at Livermore Ave and go south all the way through town and the road will have a sharp left turn and change into Tesla Rd. Take a right at the 1st light and that will be Mines Rd. You travel down that stretch for a while and then you will have to turn left at the base of the Hill that leads up to Lake Del Valle to continue on Mines Rd. That's where the fun begans. Be careful because there are several trickey unmarked turns that can lead to disaster if not taken with a little caution. Enjoy the ride and make sure you have some supplies and a full tank. I brought a decent 1st aid kit, fire extinguisher, plug in air compressor, flat tire repair kit, electrical tape, a gallon of antifreeze, qt of oil, spare plugs, tool set, g-tech, and last but not least a digital camera. That crap I brought was probably over kill but I'd rather have something don't need rather than be in the middle of NO WHERE and need something. You can also get fresh cold bottled water and Snapple at the Junction too. I had a burger probably more than 10 yrs ago and it was tasty :P

I haven't driven the evo in awhile, and it's very unpleasant!
jump on the 0% financing, good deals can be found.

Dang! It's a twisty road drive, not the Dakar Rally! Shouldn't a AAA card and a mobile phone be enough? ;)

Nothing. Wilson's just been too busy driving some of his 10 other cars. Yeah, it sucks to be rich! :nana:

I have Cingular and my friend has Nextel and about 95% of the trip was no signal for either of us. Nextel had like 5% random spots where a sliver of signal came through long enough to let you know that you've voice mail. You're kind of on your own besides the locals.
