Mistsu. states:

"The shape of the TD05HR-16G6C-10.5T turbocharger's compressor cover has been enhanced to optimize responsiveness and durability. The result is more torque in the 1800-5000 rpm range, as well as higher output from the peak output speed of 6500 rpm all the way to the 7000 rpm limit."

Anyone see one of these yet, that can comment on if it looks any different or how it compare's to the WR?

So I should wait for the White Wabbit based on the '06 turbo? :)

Unfortunatly we don't get the Titanium wheel but we do get the bigger compressor housing which should help. The wheel looks to be the same size as the EVO 8 Wheel too:

We've been in contact with some guys in Japan who are experiencing troubles with the magnesium wheel. Apparently it likes to fly apart around mid-20 PSI :? This is just one shop we know of experiencing troubles and not sure if the JDM design is affected as a whole.

Right on both accounts, I was thinking ahead to the White Rabbit 16G6C.

I thought US EVO IX's didn't get the magnesium compressor and titanium turbine?

It doesn't. And that was only offered on certain models in Japan/UK as well.

AFAIK, the hotside is the same so yes.

it aparently requires a new turbo outlet elbow, i believe it either doesn't have one like the 8 turbos do or it's a different shape or something. at least this is what br said.

the mg wheels coming apart is also happening in the uk.
