Hey guys I tried installing a seibon cf trunk the past 2 days and had no luck with the fitment. During the install I had removed the trunk springs that holds up the trunk by prying them off with a metal bar. Now that I installed my stock trunk with wing, I would like to put the bars back in. But I forget how the springs are suppose to be mounted. Theres 2 round holes on each trunk hinge. I tried putting the bars in the outer hole and have them crossing each other but that didnt work. Before I try messing around some more and possibly messing up the spring's tension, I wanted to see if anyone here knows the right way to mount them, or can possible take a picture of the bars for me? They are 2 metal bars going side to side close to and under the rear speakers in the trunk.

Heres some pics of how I have it setup now, its not lifting the trunk at all this way. In the picture you probably cant see the inner hole. I have the springs hooked on the outer hole towards the rear shown in the pics.

 I'm thinking about taking mine out; with the back seats out you can hear those things rattle like crazy.

Rotate the bars 180* and you should be back in business.

yea they're just mini- torsion bars put in one end and twist with a bar and force in the other end. they go in a lot harder than they come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why didn't the trunk fit thats strange I thought that company was suposed to be good, Vis is cheap and it fits good

Yea I dont know whats up with my seibon trunk. With all the latches and springs out, the trunk would not align and close. I talked to a few other owners of this fine trunk and they all had to bring it to the body shop to drill new latches and other modifications to make it fit. Then I was told aligning it was not easy. Im pretty much done with my trunk and will ship the sucka back to streetconcepts if I can find a box or make one. Since this is my 1st cf trunk, I noticed some defects too. Oh well, if Im going to go wingless I'll just take off my wing and plug them hoes.
