I'm not sure where to post this, but everyone - I just wanted to share the saddest news I've heard in years. KK, aka Mark Modaressi who ran EvolutionM.net died today. He was one of the people that was struck down by a driver as he was walking on a sidewalk in Las Vegas.

I've met Mark a few times and I can say he was truly was a great guy. He will certainly be missed.

"Ressa also had been sought by his hometown police in a near-fatal assault Monday on his mother, who owned the car Ressa was driving in Las Vegas....He punched her numerous times in the face and choked her into unconsciousness and stood over her with a butcher knife," Burkholder said."

I love people.

"People" are ok Bryan...it's "persons" that are a bit problematic at times.

My condolences to Mark, his family, and friends.

Maybe we could meet so we can contribute some money and buy some flowers and go to the funeral......

Where does he live?

He lived in Irvine, but the funeral is likely going to be in Washington DC/Maryland.

aww man.. that's sad. I heard it on the news yesterday and didn't know he was part of the crowd. He's a great guy and spoke to him a few times on the boards and he doesn't deserve this. I remember when he used to post his Type R on Honda-Tech and then created Evom for the Evo fans like himself when Evos weren't even thought of being shipped out here in the states. Just makes me sad seeing a dedicated fallen enthusiast just because of an idiot intentionally plows in through the crowd.

Rest in Peace Mark. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. :(

Edit: I bumped one of his old thread in H-T in dedication to his memory. He was proud and had hopes that the Evo will eventually come over here in the states.
