What do you guys think? Do you think I should black out my badges? Would a Vortex Generator be rice on a non-MR?

Looks good 8) Black badges would match nicely with the car IMO.

Yeah, definitely black out your badges! That would look hawt. Personally, I don't think a VG on a non-MR is rice. I would eventually like to get one for my '03.

Looks nice.

Are those 235/40/17 Toyo RA1's?

Do you track?

So, where did you get them power coated and how much? I thought that power coating your rims can make them brittle? due to the baking process. Some previous thread talked about the power coating issue.

Looks nicely done.

I'm not a big fan of black wheels though. I had black wheels on one of my previous cars and everyone used to ask me if someone had stolen my wheels.

235/45 R17 RA-1's. I have gone to the track a couple of times!

Central Coast Powdercoating in San Luis Obispo, and it was ~60 a wheel. (that included mount ans balance)

Yeah, I had read that the powder coating causes premature failure, but don't have any proof other than the post that showed pictures of the wheel that had cracked while driving.

FWIW,

I have done a bunch of hard track days on powdercoated wheels. I'm sorry to disappoint the people who blow things way out of proportion, but my wheels are still in tact.

Has ANYONE seen or even heard of an EVO wheel, powdercoated or not, break? And no, smacking a curb or getting into an accident doesn't count. :P

Looks sweet!!! 8) 8) 8) I wonder how it would look like if the MR BBS wheels were gloss-black powdercoated. Does anyone here have theirs done that way?
