I just picked up a white 03 from San Jose last friday. I have owned five honda's and the fastest only ran a 13.48 @104mph. I am almost there with this car from the factory. Anyway I just wanted to say hi to all the norcal evo owners. I am in the sacramento area by the way.

Just to be technical... an EVO is absolutley not a DSM in any form whatsover.

Welcome to the forums. 13.48 is pretty decent......what car/mods on that honda?
99 Civic SI, Vortech Supercharged b16a2 6.5psi 252whp, 2950 lbs with me in it, 2.01 60ft on drag radials. I have no idea how my tuner pulled 252whp out of an internally stock b16 but the guy is amazing. He owns a 501whp EVO as well. Alamo autosports in Dallas TX.

i used to have an EG that ran 12.8 @109mph all motor on slicks...
selling it was hard overcome
den got my evo fastest i've ran is 12.2 @115mph on street tires :shock:
I used to own a 2000 Civic Si, never dragged it but tracked it a lot.

I thought DSM stood for Diamond Star Motors. Isn't that what Mitsubishi is or used to be called? Anyway, welcome aboard. I owned Honda/Acuras for along time and still own some. Honda motors are pretty much bulletproof........well from what I've owned. Hell if Acura made the TL an all-wheel drive with near 260 hp, I would have bought it instead of the Evo. :wink:

no diamond star denotes
diamond = mitsui (the descrip of the company logo)
star = dodge/chrysler (the descrip of the company logo)
joint ventures betweeen the companies produced the 1st and 2ng gen eclipse and also the 3000GT
the star side was called, eagle, laser and stealth.
All those companies had the same motor in the car, just different shells.

Cars where the same too, just slightly different front and rear bumpers, paint schemes, wheels and side skirts, etc.
Go Nebo on the DSM knowledge. :)
Some people say the 3kGT and Stealth aren't really dsm's since they where imported , just like the Galant VR4 and the mirage and colt turbos, and not built on the same assembly line in Normal, Ill

on 91 oct i ran 12.8 @ 109mph

I also used to have a Honda, still have one actually and still love Hondas, but I love the Evo too.
IM in Sac also and patiently waiting for Nebo to set up something local since its been oh so long for anything sac (besides a poker meet)
