For anyone wanting to try this out, this is the first time (to my knowledge) a RallyCross is being held so close to the Bay Area. Let's go and get some EVOs dirty!

---

We're proud to announce our inaugural mixed dirt and tarmac and
RallyCross at Altamont Raceway & Arena on November 6, 2005. By popular demand (both from competitors and from ourselves!), Altamont provides us with a location closer to the Bay Area, bringing good times in the dirt closer to the masses. If you haven't wanted to make the drive out to Willows lately, come check it out! Tell your friends! Register now!

We'll be working hard to get the word out to everyone we can. Making
Altamont a success will help us secure more dates in 2006 - for RallyCross action closer to the Bay Area!

The Altamont RallyCross entry fees are $35 for SCCA members, $40 for
non-members (4 runs, times combined for a total time). This is a non-points event.

More information, location, and online registration can be found here:

http://www.sfrscca.org/RallyX/

We hope to see you there!

Hey Marshall, think your new Evo will be rebuilt in time for this? :) Maybe I will go with you, after all.

Its a lot of fun, and really just gets the car a little dirty.. But i guess it does depend on the location..

Think Auto-X in a dirt lot.

You may gain a few new rattles in the interior though.

If you've ever driven to WORKS, the street they're on will give you a pretty good idea of how a rally-x feels like :D

Worst that's happened to me has been tearing off my front diffuser in really deep mud. When the track is dry, our cars do perfectly fine at stock height.

Ooh... what an image. I was just at WORKS today, and I almost forgot how bad that street is. What's really funny is when you're driving in first gear and you hit a pothole, and you hit the gas, and then get off of the gas, and then back on. jerk-jerk-jerk-jerk

Unfortunately I was only able to get pics of run group 3 and 4.
