Traded in my 2000 turbo Nissan Maxima about 2 months ago for a 2005 Evo VIII with SSL (brought the Max back to stock of course). The Max put down 317 whp with 314 tq at ATP's dyno about 2 years back. The Evo isn't as strong yet but I'm hoping to get there in due time. Might be sooner than later since I've already ordered TONS of stuff after selling most of the mods off the Max. :D

Well, that's my n00b intro so be gentle on me. lol

Welcome to NCE! I owned a 1991 Maxima for almost 10 years. It was very slow, but didn't have a turbo. :)

Thanks for the welcome guys (and gals if there are any).

Here is the list of what was ordered within the last two weeks:
1) Blitz SBD-iD (taken from the Max so not realy ordered)
2) GReddy Type RS BOV (installed)
3) Walbro fuel pump
4) Buschur TBE
5) Nisei IC (probably an overkill for the stock turbo but it's ok)
6) Nisei IC piping
7) Nisei mini battery kit
8) HKS 272/272 cams (need to purchase a good the tensioner tool)
9) Fidanza cam gears
10) ARP head studs
11) LM-1 with LMA-2 and XD-1 gauge
12) SAFC2 (have the SAFC but figured it was time for an upgrade)

Still have some funds left and haven't sold the turbo kit or the Brembo GT kit from the Max yet.

Probably going to get these also
1) Revolver valve springs and retainers (might as well put these in with the cams while I have the head open anyway; also need the compressor kit)
2) SMC alcohol injection kit (have the Aquamist for the Max but the SMC kit with the 1G reservoir looks like a clean install)
3) Reflash or piggyback when it's all said and done.

That's probably as far as I'll go without getting a turbo kit.


I'm hoping to have the car dynoed before I put anything else on. I live in Hayward so Gruppe-S is just minutes away but I haven't been able to talk to the dyno/service person (keep getting his voice mail).


Torque steer? Not too bad after my friends and I swapped in a VLSD 5 speed. When I had an auto with Stillen supercharger, it was bad. lol

I have all the pictures on my other computer, but the master HD isn't working so the computer doesn't boot up. :(
