Hi guys,

Just brought home an 06 Liquid Silver EVO MR. Got it for cheap, $130 over invoice. Process was interesting to say the least.

I've probably met a few of you at an unlimited laps event, in one of my last few cars, a supercharged 97 M3, an 04 S2000, or my last car, an 05 M3.

Glad to finally join you guys as an owner. This car is a lot of fun! I was very pleasantly surprised.

Welcome, Kit!

How does the evo compares with your previous cars? :D

I love the 97 M3. Did you sold it? I think that's a cool ride for anyone for the next 5+ years

Yup, the EVO is my only car right now.

The EVO surprisingly has the fastest steering of all the cars. It feels a LOT lighter than either of my M3s. While I haven't owned an s2000 in 6 months, the s2k felt lighter, but had slower steering. The evo is pretty quick, I think the supercharged E36 was faster and the e46 was a bit faster, the s2k was slower. I think with a catback and an ECU flash, the Evo is gonna end up faster than the rest, though.

I'm really impressed with how well the MR rides! Guess those bilsteins are pretty good!

Yea I HEARD the evo steering is pretty good. But out of curiosity how much did you sold the M3 for? If you don't want it to be public PM me. I just want to get a general idea.

Welcome,

I sold my '96 C36 AMG to get into an Evo also cause I didnt want to wait 18 more months till the Benz was paid off to own both. You get free synthetic oil service<50k miles and access to the most moddable car on the planet besides a 5.0L stang or a Civic. Have fun!

Kit? Is that you? SFcarGaiz?

Finally caved in and got a EVO so you could run a 2:05 at thunderhill like me?

Yup, it is our very own Kit. How many different cars has he had since we've known him? I'm thinking in the 150+ range.

Welcome Kit. Just got your email this morning.

Still, even with the bypass that's damn fast.

No, I'm probably not going to track the EVO much... trying to buy a house. Hopefully in a year or two, I'll be back out at the track.

N00b question:

The dealer didn't say anything about free maintenance. Did that get dropped for 06?

You get free gas:
http://www.mitsucars.com/MMSA/GasCardOffer

and yes that includes the EVO, don't let your dealer tell you otherwise:

But I do believe they dropped the free maintenance, But you do have 10yr/100k warrenty.

Maybe the 06 Evo is not included?

You get to choose any one of Mitsubishi's 2005 vehicles or the hot new 2006 Raider, Galant or Endeavor, and we'll pick up the cost of your gas for a whole year1.

hey brian, does that gas card work at the track?
it would be worth trading up just for that alone

With the zero lift stuff, the invoice was 34773, I paid 34800 + T&L. Better than $55k + T&L, right?
