I will have an opportunity to purchase a used TME from a friend in the near future REAL CHEAP, but my plan has been to use the WR. I guess basically I am looking for input as to wether I shoud take the good deal or spend the extra $$ (like $900 extra) on the WR. Are the WR gains that much more substancial? Or would I be better off buying the TME and not worring about the WR, because it doesn't make $900 worth of more gains? For everone who is going to tell me to get a GT30 or something, this is about all the turbo I was really planning on, and I would probably never go any bigger in the future. I really am planning on one of these turbos mated to some 272's, tuned (somehow) for the road course. Any input is appreciated.

I would do the TME any day over the WR. Much cheaper and VERY similar gains. If you can get the TME even cheaper, it's a no brainer.

I am going to be able to get the TME for like $500-600 with a Megan manifold, so I will probably go for that over the WR I think.

how about adding the WR wheel to the TME ?

I have thought about that, but it is like $750 to upgrade your turbo to a WR accroding to FP's website.

i think the wr turbo isn't bad. its kind of expensive if you bought it at full retail. but they have shown some good power improvements for people, and the drivability on them is as good as stock.

IMO if you get a good deal, it might be worth it.. especially mid range 8)

initially i was kind of disappointed about the numbers coming out of the wr. but the fact of the matter is that not many evo's make big numbers on the gruppe-s dyno.

this turbo is for people who wnat to get the most out of the factory configuration without jumping to a GT turbo.

if you want big numbers there really is no substitute for going with something like a garrett gt
