Okay guys, here is what you've been waiting for. The Meet is here. SAM@FIA has been generous enough to offer his shop for us to meet. The location is stated below (its actually in Stockton, 20 mins from SAC but a lot closer than going to the Bay Area).

Since everyone has always been asking about SAC meets, here is your chance to come out and meet everyone in the surrounding area. Food and Beverages will be provided, and also Sam will let you know about the Specials he is running.

Please come out and support the gathering, as you know, it takes a bit of effort and money to provide these events, and future events are contingent on how well the previous ones turn out.

Post up here if you have questions and also how many people you plan on bringing. It is quite rare for us to have a SAC meet since 90% of the time, we roll down to the Bay Area.

If you have any concerns, please let me know. Once again, thanks to Sam for his generousity, and I hope we can reciprocate by showing him our support and having a good turn out for this meet.

yes and no. There will be another NorCalEvo meet, but it most likely won't happen to early next year.

This is to be a bit fair for the Sac/Lodi/Stockton Fairfield guys as we always roll down to the bay area for the meets, that's a lot of miles we've driven . . . I thought I'd set something up a bit closer for us up North Peeps.

From one manual noob to another (I just learned this year, too), you have nothing to worry about. The freeway is the easiest part, unless you're in rush hour traffice. :)

Went on the freeway today. Wow fun :lol: !!!! Easy, although 2 cars reeved up on me. Integgy DC2 and a 350z. Didn't race the Dc2 but the 350 was an asshole and pissed me off. Back and forth back and forth. So i slowly punched it and this guy just downshifts and takes off slowly although I was in 5th. He still had a hard time getting away from me. I just let go after he was a half car ahead. Downshifting is not for me just yet.

Downshifting is not for me just yet.

You'll get it eventually. Just practice a lot when you're approaching stop lights. You just need to rev match, so clutch in, rev up a little, then downshift and let out the clutch. If you (driver) lurch back, you revved too high. If you lurch back, you didn't rev high enough. It's all about figuring out where the RPMs need to be in the gear that you're downshifting to, to make a smooth transition. I am still practicing myself.

theres like a little sub-station for the stockton PD near FIA. so take it easy. just let the ricers get pulled over instead of us. (ricers are everywhere at stockton) never seen an evo when im there, just myself.

Sam, thanks a bunch to you and the rest of FIA for hosting a great meet. I should have tried to meet more of the NCE crew there, but it was fun hanging with the guys from Beale AF. Hey L84AD8, AreSTG, and EVILutionVIII, it was cool chatting with you guys -- thanks for letting the civilian hang out. :) I hope your boys get their Evos soon and will come to some more meets!

Hell yeah bro, we had a blast! Running into civilians that've traveled the word as much as you have is rare. Makes for good conversation!
