Hey guys,

I have a very nice Alcohol injection kit here that needs to be tested. It incorporate a fail safe design that will deactivate your boost solenoid when it senses lack of alki. This system is far superior than the SMC because it runs off a 2d map (maf signal and boost). I will sell this kit to you at cost and of course installation and tuning special.

Please PM me for more info.

Thanks,
Tom

so whats the cost to get one of these bad boys, and will it work if you have a different flash? Also, what is the fail safe i.e if the reservoir runs out of juice will it damage the engine?

How will it detect if the nozzle is clogged, the pump fails, or the controller isn't working? The SMC kit sets off a low fluid light when the reservoir is 1/3 full, but there are no other fail safe options.

I'm currently looking for fail safe devices to go with the SMC kit (finally got the mini battery so I was able to finish the SMC installation along with the intercooler and piping).

Hi guys,

Sorry..I was out sick yesterday so I did get a chance to reply to any pms.

This kit ISN'T made by Helix. Its made by a reputable manufacturer in the US. The failsafe motors the flow of alki in the system. When flow drops below 0.1 gallons per minute, the fault trigger will go to a high state of 12volts. This will activate a solenoid that will cut off your boost or ignition if you are using MSD setup.

Also, please keep in mind that you will need an aluminum upper IC pipe for any Alki injection kit. The nozzle will need to be placed next to the throttle body and the stock rubber hose just won't hold.

Thanks,
Tom

1. So what if we arent using MSD, does it just cut off boost?

2. What do you mean by cut off boost?

3. Drops boost to Zero, or drops boost to a secified "Tuned" PSI?

4. Is there a Low Fluid Sensor + Light?

5. Like what was questioned Above, if flow is right but the nozzle is
clogged would it still trip and "cut boost"?

6. What does the kit come with?

7. What Brand kit is it or "Do I have to come check it out"?

Sorry all you stated was that You have a Failsafe and SMC doesnt...you werent too specific in detail. Thanks.

If the nozzle is cloged there should be no flow, unless there is some sort of return line.

1. So what if we arent using MSD, does it just cut off boost?
If you are not running a MSD setup then there is a soleniod to cut off the boost when the flow level is below 0.1 gallon/min

2. What do you mean by cut off boost?
refer to question 1

3. Drops boost to Zero, or drops boost to a secified "Tuned" PSI?
The boost will never go to Zero and you will just be running off your wastegate.

4. Is there a Low Fluid Sensor + Light?
There is a light to indicate low fluid

5. Like what was questioned Above, if flow is right but the nozzle is

Wont be any flow if the the nozzle is clogged therefore it will activate the failsafe.

6. What does the kit come with?
a bottle, lines, a failsafe system, and controller

7. What Brand kit is it or "Do I have to come check it out"?
I much rather not post up the manufacturer on the forum.

Thanks,
Tom
