Well, looks like I was just being paranoid about blowing my headgasket.

Thanks to Mike and Tommy at Gruppe-s, we did a full leakdown and compression check.

Perfect bill of health, Great compression, no leaking, plugs look cherry, etc etc.

Woot!

Now I'm bummed I skipped the last two sessions at Thunderhill Monday. :?

At least it was a cheap trackday.

Think how much you saved in gas.

Good news.

yesh!! That's great news. I believe you also missed out a good lunch prepared by bonnie. LoL

So what was the leak all about then?

Hey Bryan, glad to hear the Evo is A-OK!

I thought of you today when I saw these, and snapped a pic with my crappy phone camera so you can add them to your collection:

dunno what's up with this fuzziness:

I told you!!! Look what you did Bryan, causing all the commotion. Hehe..thanks for buying coffee today. Good to hear 303whp still a safe number. Lets hope I can beat it sometime soon.

good work :)

You probably didn't want me to embarrass you on the track for those last two sessions anyways. ;)

Perhaps your stock headstuds were just stretching?

I doubt it, but that has been brought up. I was only spiking to about 1.65 bar on 100 octane.

I think I just overfilled the coolant res tank a couple weeks before, had forgot about it, and when the car got up to track temp it put it all back in.

weren't we seeing bubbles coming up in the tank though?

either way glad to hear all is good.

so did your car over heat at the track? Or did you just see coolant on the floor. Besides seeing coolant on the floor, what made you think your headgasket went bye bye.

no overheating whatsoever. Water temps peaked at 92c. I hit that on the street. heh.

The res bottle filled up, that's why I thought something was borked and skipped the last 2 sessions. Better safe than stuck at thill waiting for a tow truck to tow me 2hrs to Alameda. 8)

nice, glad to hear your Evo is Okay. The Care Bear Mobile is very important to NCE.

I blew my headgasket before on my old MarkIII Supra. That shit was never the same again, time after time I fixed it, the piece of shit would overheat.

If you never overheated and lost all your coolant at the track, I would say you're engine is 100% fine. If your headgasket was blown, you would have been leaving a white smoke screen behind you at t-hill.
