damn 236 / 243 bone stock on the gruppe-s dyno?

That's a bit more than other stock 9's are getting on the same dyno.

I knew the car was strong from day 1. It pulls very strong, and feels much stronger than my evo 8 MR. Mike was telling me a TBE, a ecutek flash would be close to 300 hp territory.

:urock: Wow!!! Those are awesome stock numbers. It's like everyday I feel more and more like trading in the '05 for an '06.

And now your gonna put in a TBE! Once it's tuned...I can't take it anymore!!! :worthy:

I have been talking to mike about breaking your 300HP ceiling with stock turbo, and you have done an awesome job!!!

How fast do you think your car is now, Bryan?

Mike said it's easily capable of 11's with the numbers it puts down.

With me driving it, probably a 14.5@115mph. haha.

One of these days I should see what it can do at a 1/4mile track... 8)

Damn now I know I should've waited for the IX RS :( I'm stuck with my VIII cause I don't want to take a big hit in my wallet. Maybe I'll go the BR 20G option instead. Hey do you know if anyone's done a ls/vtec style swap in a VIII yet? Aka mivec IX head & ecu on a VIII block. That would be interesting. for all of the DIY guys on here. I know there were internal changes though.

Yes, still on stock belts. It grabs and holds you so well that the stock belt works great. Although it would be nicer with a harness, it's overkill and a nusiance for the streets.

I don't think anyone has done it yet for the lack of support on head components on the IX thus far. I'm 99% sure it will work, from what I understand the IX bottom end is identical to ours. I bet those heads will not be cheap and even harder to source. :(

Patience, grasshopper. It won't be long before kids with too much credit and too little skill start buying Evo IXs and drive off the sides of canyon roads here and there.

We should do like the Mexicans do in baja and sit on the side of the road and try to get the cars to crash so we can rip off parts! :D

Sure, but you can do that in a perfectly legal way--just invite a bunch of n00b Evo 9 owners to Sears Point and let 'em try to chase your Honda. They'll learn the hard way that's not as easy as it sounds.

Nice numbers Wilson. I'm jealous. My '05 RS w/TBE and EcuTek flash only put down 243whp/254wtq at Gruppe-S. It feels much faster than stock though and it's a quick car. I want more power though. Maybe I should get Buschur's 20G IX after I've done cams. Haha. It never ends.
