just wanted to see the hype about licp's out there for the evo and i happened to buy a used one for $100 which is not bad.but the only downside is the install since i had to take off the whole splashguard off and i took off the bumper also so i can have plenty of room to work with.comparing them side by side you can tell that the stock has lots of bends and kinda restrictive.

The verdict:the damn thing does work  good thing i turned down my boost first before going for a drive since the boost now kicks much quicker and i was peggin 20psi on the gauge real quick.so overall not a bad mod for its price but get ready for a messy install :P

What Marshall says--just hangs there. The Nisei pipes have the bracket, but probably are more pricey. You get what you pay for though--I really appreciate the workmanship of the Nisei pipes.

:skid: I would be fine with straight 272's. 280's would not be good for a daily driver like me. But it would mos def make mo powa!

So are you still using the stock hoses or did you buy some sampco hoses? Also if it just hangs there, won't it vibrate on something or rub?

i still use the stock hose on the ic side but it comes with a replacement for the coupler side.

Damn. If I still have access to my school's shop, I can probably fabricate a piping set up. Kinda when I made that trunk bar for you. BTW how is it holding up?

hey marcel, how hard is it to take the pipe off?... if you can get that off my friend who own a fab shop is willing to make that piece and the upper pipes.. all you have to do is buy the pipe

evo_dadi

pipe is easy to take off its just the undertray thats messy to deal with since you gotta take it off if you want to have some room to work with.

I will probably get this as my next mod; looks like it will help with boost response.

I got this pipe...it is ok. The end that attaches to the turbo outlet is really thin and cut at a weird angle. My advice would be to get new stronger clamps to use on the pipe...I stripped the stockers tightening them. I am also going to get upgraded silicone cupplers from RRE, for more piece of mind.

did you got the first version?they changed the newer sets with beaded ends to prevent from slipping.

Well, I just got it on Monday, I assume it is the latest version... The end I am talking about was at a stange angle, and it did have the bead, but it was really unusually shaped.
