so its about that time for new ones. should i splurge on some 2piece ones or get some 'normal' ones and save money later for stoptechs?

I curious about this as well. I noticed my pads don't wear evenly. They wear in a tapered pattern. This is probably due to the solid hat rotor as it expands in a cone shape when it gets hot.

Do 2-piece rotors help pads wear more evenly?

I say use the cheapest possible. For my Honda I buy the OEM $13.99 rotors for track use. I wish they made them for the Evo though. :(

Good to hear, my civic will need new ones too....sorry for being OT.

you should find some used stock rotors that still have some life left in them, and then you can continue using the stock brakes, but still save for some stoptechs (or other) later.

when your racing, you shouldn't have to even think "Will this next corner fade my brakes" and then you brake early because you don't want to find out. I believe in having 100% confidence in your components when tracking.

I think if you're fading your pads with the stock brembo's, you're braking too much. :)
