Hello
My EVO was in a wreck and the front end was fixed a couple of weeks ago. The shop that worked on my car did a nice job, plus the price was right. Next week I'm taking it back in to see what they can do the fix the 1" to 1 1/2" gap between the head lights and hood. See picture. One way or another I'm getting it fixed.

I bought the front bumper and lip from STREETCONCEPT. I've talked to them a few times about the fixment but they won't do anything, so I'm stuck.

I don't know if the front bumper bar frame is bent and is to low by an inch or the fiberglass bumper is made wrong. Right now I'm thinking of cutting the fiberglass bumper so it can have room to shim it into place. What do you think. Thanks Bill

That looks terrible. The mesh looks like the stuff you get at OSH. The fitment on that bumper is real bad. I say find someone with an OEM EVO 8 bumper laying around in the garage.

Guess what I have laying around in the garage? But it's red, and a bit scratched up (though it can be refinished). And the grill is a separate part, so you'd still need to order it.

Is your hood closed? It looks like a huge gap your headlights don't even line up to the hood. As for the mesh, paint it black.

My grandma does better body work and she's blind. How much is a good price?

It looks as though ur lights are bent down maybe when they fixed it they didnt raise the light back up.... I would say lift the light or try to bend it upwards to see if that will fix that big ass gap... It looks bad ... Paint the mesh black at least it doesnt look right at that color...

If he raises the lights that much there will be a 1" gap below them.

well I was thinking if he raises the lights he can raise the bumper too as well :-)

Thanks VOD for your suggestion. Where the bumper attaches to the frame, there is no room to move up. I was thinking of cutting out the bottem, so we could slide it up with shims. If that doesn't seem like the thing to do then buy a different bumper or adjust the frame.

Wow thats a fitment issue there, can you adjust your hood to slant forward a bit more? Maybe you should paint the grills black, to throw the attention off the gap between the hood and bumper...but again thats your call bro, to each his own. With a little tweaking here and there it should be fine

The front of the car compessed and lowered that explains why he has no more adjustment. Take it back and tell them to do it right. If you're stock take some measurements from an other stock car and compare.

Thanks for the advise. I will take the height measurements from another stock EVO. It goes back into the shop on Tuesday.

that gap between the hood and the bumper looks bigger than some gaps of some tenderloin street walkers (not that I've ever seen some first hand... )

and the mesh on the bumpers....are you trying to keep knats off of your intercooler???.......that sheet looks like the mesh to a screen door @ my house...
