And approximately how much will it cost? I'm looking for recommendations.

I bought an OEM flywheel off Ebay with "only" 400 miles on it but after cleaning it up last night it was clear even to my untrained eyes that there is a fair amount of hotspotting on it--in some places the metal is blued from heating. The surface is still fairly smooth though I can feel some unevenness where the hotspots are. (Will post photos...)

Well, at least I only paid $36 for it so I'm hoping that even with resurfacing it will be cheaper than a new one ($200); and I don't have to take my existing flywheel out until I'm ready to do the clutch job.

Where abouts are you?

I've used Ron's Transmissions in Sunnyvale for my Camaro. IIRC, it was under $50, maybe $25-$50. I can't recall the exact amount, unfortunately.

Cool, thanks! I asked on the car-club mailing list at work and the thread immediately went off-topic with people debating the merits of lightweight flywheels. After a dozen or so E-mails back and forth no-one had actually answered my question.

FYI Ron's quoted me $35.

Thanks Jan, those links were of no use. :P Google isn't very good for finding local biznesses. I just went to YellowPages.com and searched for "transmission". Ron's quoted me $35, Clutch Mart $40. "Let your fingers do the walking." ;)
