The problem is those B18C5s aren't cheap! The motor itself is 4K. Throw in the cost of install etc you'll be up there. My friend and I put a B16A into his 91 Integra. A lot more economical. $2500 installed including auto to manual swap and night and day difference over the dinosaur B18A. Popped in a set of cams and ITR goodies and it rocks. :) Plus 100% reliable for his daily driver.

yea but problem with a b16 no torque. its a good engine but so limitless with 1.6. on the other hand. you can get the king of b series engines my opinion. a b20. just slap on a vtec head. now thats a good motor.

The frankenstein motors put out a lot of power but aren't as reliable.

The best choice is the K20 Type R swap but it costs a lot and not "bolt-in" like the B series motors.

thats a myth. reason why ppl bust their shit. is the fact they dont built it correctly. they half ass it. and i have seen ppl swap a vtec head on a 150k motor thinking it should be okay.
