A freind of mine is offering a set of 17 inch wheels with 225 45 17 Newish Blizzacks on them. THey came off a 1999 Audi S4. How can I figure out if these would be the right fitment for the car? Sorry for the novice wheel question, but the deal is good and I need to see if I want them.

u believe the offset is different but if he is ur friend u could always ask him to bring one wheel so u can try it on ur car to make sure

What's the offset? No idea how would I find out. Is it printed on the wheel somewhere?

The tires will work (even though they are a little small in diameter compared to the 235/45's that came on the car stock), but there's no way the wheels fit. Audis are a different lug pattern.
114.3 for evo and 112 for audis so they will not fit at all unless u get them drilled to fit

Really they are 5 lugs, I thought they were the same (I could be wrong). Are they the same as the Subaru?

The S4 is 5x112.
the PCD is totally different.
The wheels won't work no matter what. Offset wise and width is probably fine. but PCD is wrong.

Oh well they were free, but I passed them on to an Audi friend of mine.

Good man. At least they went to a friend. Free is always good. It was worth a shot. About five years ago I saw these lugnuts that basically would convert 112 to a 114. Basically the "head" of the bolt could shift into a 114.3 seat. It was some cool stuff. I never found out who had made them. I'd do it on a touring vehicle but probably not on a performance one such as the evo.
