Just wanted to say hello to everyone.
i purchased kimmievo's evo at the planet mitsu dealer in modesto. i was driving by the dealer in my 2006 f150 with 2100 miles on it... and traded it in on the car.

i know there were some things said on here about the car being towed wrong. i had the dealer look at the pics that were posted ... and they have checked this car over and over and even gave me a rental car and everything has checked out perfect.

let me tell you her car is freaking fast. i say her car... because it does not feel like mine yet... especially since she did all the stuff to it.

my history with imports includes:
ex owner of www.zerolift.com in ohio
ex owner and builder of the blue veilside fortune wide body mr2 spyder that was in 2 fast 2 furious. it was just a back ground car (first one out of the garages in that seen)
i currently have this evo, a rx8, a rx7 a porsche boxster and a 350z roadster which was stolen 9 months ago.

i have owned
3 mr2 spyders
2 350z's
an integra type R
a twin turbo supra
a celica gts
a turbo eclipse
a prelude
a del sol
a crx
a s2000
rx7
rx8
F150
F250
boxster
a jeep wrangler
and sadly 3 ford probes

so that gives you an idea of my interest in cars and imports mainly.

my veilside fortune mrs was front cover of modified magazine and in several others for about 2 years before i sold that car to a museum in illinois.

my current show car that is being built is my 1993 rx7 with 30,000 original miles. it is currently at BRS auto-design getting their JGTC wide body done. the car is sponsored by them and BASF paints and TOYO and intense motorsports and i will be doing the rest of the work in arizona www.intensepower.com i will not be seaking sponsors for this car. my last show car was a sponsor whore with stickers all over the place and really stupid audio stuff and lights all over. i am not into that stuff (sorry do not mean to bash anyones likes) and do not plan on that this time. i am getting things at good enough prices i really want to just do this myself and present a clean well done car with no cut corners.

check out their site. their project do luck wide body 350z is my old 350 i sold them. i have been doing business with them for years. i only buy from intense.

sorry for the long message. but i wanted to say hello. i work crazy hours and i am not sure when i will be able to get on this site. i would like to come to some meets if possible.

thanks and take care,
john

Welcome to NCE! I'm glad to hear that everything on the car checked out okay. The way they towed it was pretty f'd up.

congrats on a good buy! I hope they gave you an extended warranty just to be on the safe side. Never know what few hundred miles of driving may give you later down the line.

Welcome btw! :D

Welcome to the forum.

I hope that you got something in writing to that effect and that they'll warranty any center diff problems. That car was towed wrong twice. And I really suspect you'll see the same problems it had as after the first time.

How did the dealer check it out? by looking at the cases?

There will be problems with them. Maybe not now, but in coming miles...

you couldn't me more right. i do this to myself all the time. i buy a car and do a few things to it and then its out of my system. and at this point i have had so many that its just not the same to me anymore. i have wanted an nsx for years... but i got that out of my system with a customers nsx back in ohio. he dropped it off at my house bone stock and gave me a $50,000 limit credit card and said do whatever i want. so the end result is what you can see at ....

http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/exterior%5Fperformance%5Fproducts/NSX/2002%5Fconversion/GT-Series/gtseries_750.jpg

so after that i figured that i didn't need one. so when the time comes ill post it for sale on here or trade it in

wow... thanks for all the welcomes!!!

i am geting used to this evo. i am hitting too much boost though i think. its hitting at least 2 bar and sounds like its gasping for more fuel. 2 bar does not seem safe. i never even ran that much boost in my supra.

Did he end up having problems with the diff?

No, not at all. I think he is moving out of state and buying a new house, so he wanted to sell the Evo.
