We took our 06' RS down to our friends at Gruppe-S to have a stock baseline established and came up with these results.

Overall it looks like the tune on the 06' EVOs are much better than the previous years, as it only runs extremely rich in the 6700-7200 rpm range.

nice a/f curve.. looks like the stock 9 ecu has better tune than the 8.

Damn. That's only 10whp less than what my '05 RS did with a 3" CB exhaust and Ecutek flash and tune. Very nice.

as much as I think the 06' is a great car, i think our 05's are still great performers.

with a mail in flash, boost control and fuel pump my 05' did 236 whp on the same dyno. all in all $400 worth of mods.

Until the 06' comes out with an affordable user tunable ECU that controls Mivec, fuel and timing...

I think the older cars are still the diy tweaking favorite.

That's 10WHP MORE than my '03 made with the TR303.

great# !

Almost identical to mines, except my HP curve held up to 225 at redline, and my max torque is just a tad high at 243.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?

Damn. My 05 evo with a mail in dyno flash, mbc and turbo back exhaust made 253awhp/249tq on the gruppes dyno.

Keep in mind that my Evo is not the norm as plenty of other WORKS-tuned cars (like Nebo's) put down nice numbers.

Nevermind the peak numbers.

Those curves are fugging great for a bone stock car, no wonder they are so much faster than EVO 8's stock for stock. That torque curve is to die for on a 100% bone stock car.

I have yet to see a Works tuned car make any decent numbers. :P
