i had purchased my car a few weeks ago from "golden state mit" in sac their brother dealer is from el cerrito. i enjoyed my test drive, the sales group there and everything. no complaint, but apparently from a few of the threads bout el cerrito is not so great. but since living in the bay area most likely i will be needing a shop in the area for performance/service. i've been told many great things bout WORKS & SRM. so looks like i will be heading there unless there are other suggestions. anything new that i should know about. please lemme kno. im new to forums period, when i should of had one for my EG n DC2, but never did. i kno for a fact that i will be much happier hear.

Welcome aboard! Yeah don't get your work done at E.C. Mitsu. Another guy on here (Jay is his screen name) works in the parts dept there and won't even have the service work on his car.

Take it to San Rafael for good quality service and a peace of mind. They are mod friendly over there too.

Hope that helps!

As a newb as well...Welcome. SRM and WORKS are both great shops to deal with. Might suggest reviewing the posts from tech articles like I have and enjoy the wealth of info. You can then come up with your own plan for mods....Since its your money. I haven't got any offers to spend anyone elses yet!! Enjoy the ride..... :D

Welcome to the family! E.C.'s horrible and shady. My uncle's nephew (on my aunt's side) worked there and found out I got an evo and sed NEVER bring it in to ECM. They do shady things.

Anyway, SRM is great. I bought my car from there. Nice guys and great service (i've only had my car washed so far..but it was pleasant lol).

Just pay the $6 (or whatever higher the toll got) and go. You won't be dissappointed.

And enjoy the car! =D
