that's what everyone said after we moved to the new socalevo....now everyone loves it. you'll soon see the benefits of this software. i havent enabled everything yet.

I for one would like to commend Rob and Jan on doing an excellent job seamlessly migrating everybody's account information (including the signatures with ginormous images, sigh :?) and settings and all the threads. Other than learning my way around the new software (and to be honest, I'm kinda liking it) I've found the move to be almost totally painless and hassle-free.

We have a new gallery software, i will be putting up the old gallery so you can grab all your old photos and put them on the new gallery. Peoplewith huge amounts of photos cant request them to be moved in a batch by an admin.

My only comment is that I find that posts blend in with each other too much. I can't recall what was so good about the way posts were displayed in phpBB, but I found that I didn't have squint or look so hard. Perhaps it's just that SMF displays some of the post's text, whereas before we only got the subject. Yeah, I think that's it... Maybe make the post subject bold, or get rid of the message body preview?

EDIT -- I must be on crack. I thought there was a message preview under the subjects, but I was wrong, I guess. Maybe my eyes are bad.

Ok, I've got to say that I LOVE the new site now. Email notifications are working again, and so far the "new post" link works correctly. The search tool is better because of the preview, and "show new replies to your posts" is indispensable. I don't think I could ever use phpBB now.

Yeah when I came back to NCE after the initial changeover there was a linked ad in my profile, IIRC it was for some kind of hosting service or ISP, wish I'd payed more attention before i deleted the HTML. I just figured my profile got transferred over on some kind of template or something...oh well no harm no foul I've changed my password since then anyway.

I have no complain about the site, but what really suck the most is when some new guy tries to steal mine name. A new guy name Evo9R . What's up with that. I'm the original evo9rs. Which stands for Evo Niners. Even if it doesn't mean what I think it means, it's still looks like mine. Man that F'ing suck , cause now I need to change it a little. Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
