To: CA Legislators
We, the Undersigned, petition the State of California to revoke the current law requiring the display of a front license plate on passenger vehicles.
We support the current and future licensing fee structure, but ask that the law reflect that a front license plate is no longer required.

Done 8) I'm #347 I hope we get a lot more signatures to get this passed. I dont have my front plate installed (extra drag) but I keep it in the car just in case.

i believe this petition will not go anywhere since giving fix it tickets is an extra revenue for the state.

Does this mean they're going to increase vehicle registration, tax, etc. (just what the governator declined when he came into office)?

Ah, let the conspiracy theories begin... :P

They can't write you a ticket if they haven't seen first-hand that you don't have a front plate. For example I signed the petition but I have my front plate on, on a totally stock Evo. What are they gonna ticket me for? Whale tail?

I think it might.

Consider that with this proposal, the state can save aproximately 50% of the cost of processing a new car registration application.

that's alot of money when you consider how many new/used cars are sold in the state.

But what would all those inmates do if they had half as many plates to stamp?
