I bought me a GFB Stealth FX BOV from a NCE member the other night. Today around 7 pm I installed it. As* i test drove the car* the so called "psshhh" didn't sound nice. Did I not installed it right or did i not tuned it right for example the venting valve and the spring valve. When I tried to tune it I touch the BOV at it was hot. Is that normal? Get back to me ASAP anyone. I installed this for fun. I still have my MR BOV.

here's some pics.

LOL MIKE! You got it installed wrong! Put the IC pipe hose to the Bottom of the GFB and the Intake return to the side of the GFB. It's close to the Exhaust Mani so after drives it will get hot...

Ok everything is normal now. Haha I get the pssh sound. I tuned the spring to 5.5 turns starting from the lowest. I tuned sound 7 clicks from lowest to highest. Just like that post. Aftyer driving it I turned the sound 3 more click 10 tota. When I rev to 6 on the new tune I almost died out. So boy wonder your tune is cool! Also, i like it. It only blows off when i am at 3k and up. Under normal driving, you can barely hear it. That's all. First install...

ok, now iI have to worry about tuning the BOV. When I ran my car today, I noticed that my RPM would drop below one and spike back up to it normal idle when I pop the gear into neutural. What do I need to change? Spring, sound of both? Well, I'm gonna be up trying to do this myself. Any info or idea would be nice or even your own BOV settings. Right now the spring is on 5.5+ turns and 7 clicks for the sound. I'm running a stock 2003 evo with the exception of the BOV.

its cuz you're venting too much to the atmoshpere. MAF sensors dont like VTA BOV's.
