I was thinking about getting this hood decal, but can't decide on with or without the writing. What do you guys/gals think? Anyone have this on their Evo?

i hate to say this but i am not diggin the decal. it just destroys the fine line and sexiness or in your case machoness of the car. if you want a decal just get the invisaguard. ask southern crane, he has one on his car.

Thanks for everybody's opinion! I don't know what I am going to do yet...I may just leave well enough alone. :)

The decal doesn't look bad to me, but it's just not for me personally.
I vote for you to Save the $57 and put it towards a go fast part for the car :D

Check out ebay. There's this guy that sells this, so it might be cheaper over there, if you really want it.

bling bling bling..... :blam:
Not really feeling it. If you REALLY want that look at least buy a CF hood and only paint the center section.
Watch out stickers are like a cancer you put one one and before you know it your car looks like mine!http://www.norcalevo.net/gallery/albums/album72/otcEVOOC_sized.jpg

8) hey man you can do what you want to your 30k evo but i wouldn't do that. it looks like the hks evo 7 graphics sort of except not as cool if it had a jdm sponcer on it or something at least it would look like a real touring car thats the idea with putting graphics on a street car right?

When you compete at the Tire Rack SCCA Solo2 National Tour autocross event, they make you put on a bunch of stickers and decals: the Tire Rack windshield decal, the SCCA sticker on the hood, the two SCCA and Solo2 stickers on each side. You actually have to pay for them too--though it's only $3 for all of them. Some people buy magnetic sheeting and put the stickers on those so they can re-use them. (Wouldn't for anything going on the aluminum hood or fenders I guess.)
As for the Kumho stickers, Kumho has a contingency program where if you win your class (and display the Kumho stickers on your car when it's photographed on course), you can win a free set of tires. Given how I did (not too badly for a beginner but only good enough for dead-last place in national-level competition ) I suggested that they should have a "reverse-contingency" program: reward me for not putting their stickers on my car and thereby giving them a bad name. ;) Anyway I didn't have any expectation of winning but the Kumho stickers were free and for once I had a "legitimate" reason to put stickers on my car, so I decided to have fun with it.
Interestingly enough, our very own chrisw put on the Kumho stickers as well--even though he's running Falken Azenis tires (I'm running Kumho Ecsta MXs). He says he wanted the opportunity to win a set of Kumhos as well... but Chris, isn't having stickers on your car for parts you don't have a classic definition of "rice"? :P j/k
