I read all the internet hype on this exhaust and being into the whole stealthy thing here I thought cool, stock up on them. I got one in and Ouch! They are only 2" diameter inside* :idiot2:

Inside the first resonator:

My tester:

Just fits :-P

Needless to say if anyone wants one cheap come and get it one time deal. $380 takes it. I am guessing it is pretty quiet* :-\

Looks like the packing on the resonator is not solid so it'll still move more air than just a 2" pipe.

Pretty neat test. I would never have thought of trying to find a bottle with the right diameter.

Looks like I'll be eliminating that mid section on the catback, alot sooner than I thought.
So basically the resonator is the only restrictive part. It looks like it flares back out to 3 inch after the resonator.

What about the rear section? Have you measured it yet?

If that part is crap too....man!! :x

on their website, it clearly states 70mm-75mm-80mm transition w/ 100mm tip :)

paul from eip dynoed an evo ix with the apex world sport exhaust (same thing except not black) and made 300 wtq 290 whp.

yea, it seems like Mikes car didnt choke up top much either when I was road tuning it. He is running a test pipe however which might help

I guess this is like the old RSR exhaust on the 2G DSMs. The inside diameter of the muffler was around 2 1/4", but people were still able to make 400whp w/ it.

That car paul tuned also ran a 3" test pipe fabbed by us.

My friend let me borrow his evo for a few days after i tuned it, and although it made excellent power his exhaust was obnoxiously loud. His car was subsequently parked at the shop, driving my own car was more pleasant since it wasn't as loud.

Having a great looking dyno chart is fun and great when you are at home looking at it, but sucks if that hp came at the expense of noise to where driving your car gives you a headache.

We tuned an 04' with a TBE Noir no cams 44k on the clock 255 wtq 268 whp at EIP. Dyno proven! Besides, all the hp in the world is useless if it manages to give you a headache (literally and figuratively) just driving it around minding your own business.
