I am driving my wonderful japanese engineered machine and when I stop I get out and the molement I tough the car there is a ton of static electricity and it shocks the hell out of me! Anyone esle exprience this?

or maybe its the Don't-blow-up-the-car-dumbass-device cause it always seems to happen when i get out at a gas station to fill up.

I've had that problem in every car I've owned. The way to solve it is to hold on to a grounded (metal) part of the car as you step out--I find the little bare-metal door latch works pretty well.

I get that from both my Evo and Lancer. I think it's normal. But I would like to know a good way to dampen the electricity running through the frame. That is beside rituallistic "self-grounding" before you get out of the car.

Another thought is to wear an anti-static suit. Just a thought... LOL

Well I used to wear fuzzy pink Hello Kitty slippers, but then I switched to shitkickers and things were fine. Wait wait.. thinking of someone else.

I used to wear Doc Martins - shoes, not boots, and then switched to Vans and things were fine. Probably has something to do with the soles of my Docs.
