Well, after a week of negotiation and a TON of b.s., I finally got my MR from S.C. There is a lot of crap to deal with, but it seems if you're willing to deal with it you can probably get a pretty good price from them.

I bought my MR for a few hundred under South Coast's price, and this is with no incentives, rebates, etc. Not sure if anyone else has been able to get one cheaper, but just wanted to let everyone know if you really are penny-pinching.

yup, you just gotta wheel and deal. I bought mine from capitol (they are partners with steven's creek), and got a great deal too. It was below Southcoasts price, I got free lojack, and didnt have to spend the time/money on a plane ticket and gas to drive the car back

I think they just have those huge mark ups to drive away non-serious buyers. Any serious buyer will have already done their research and know the going price. Mine had only 6 miles on it and the interior was still wrapped in plastic

wow you have some thick skin, i would have paid the extra to not even have to deal with car salesmen

I dunno, my experience was really easy actually. I didnt talk to a salesman in person until I was actually in to buy the car. I made my offer over the phone, 2 call backs later I had myself the deal. I drove there after work and signed the papers

Wam, bam, thank you ma'am

must sya my S.C. experience was similar. Saw the car online at a good price and went down to test drive. They gave me lower than blue book for the car (it had 8,000 on the clock) and threw in lojack and then gave me the optional 100,000 warranty at half price.

Admittedly, I did have to get up and walk away from the salesman twice before I got that deal, but I got it in the end.

All I have to say about SC is that they are a bunch of dumb a$$'s. My story in a nutt shell I was going to get a lawyer and that was that with them. They are lucky that they dropped 6g's off the price for me.

whatever, the salesman was pretty silly at capitol too. Tried telling me the MR had 80 more hp, ran 23psi stock, and had 4 intercoolers

Means nothing to me, i already knew the car and I knew I wanted it, so I just needed them to give me a good deal

yeah, you have to be tough on them and drive away and wait them out and stuff, i recommend getting your offers in writing before you drive down there. they did the ol' bait & switch, etc. and at capitol they tried to hide my license and stupid stuff like that.

in the end i got everything i wanted, great price, 4 mi. on a brand new MR. only thing is i have the lame bumper holes drilled, so i guess i'll have to deal with the bumper plugs or something.

somehow the only low price i got was from the internet qoute which turned out that they were not able to give me the car at that price or i would have to finance through them for 84 months at around 7 percent. i walked out.

$32,600 + tax + licensing.

I think it was somewhere around $35.5k OTD, don't remember exactly.

I got my MR for $32.5k from South Coast back in early Feb. Steven's Creek back then wouldn't go a penny less than $35k. I think they've changed their minds on pricing now that South Coast has been pwning their business for the better half of the past year.

I don't know about you guys, but I got a damn good deal from stevens creek mitsu. I traded in a brand new 06 rx-8 which was only 3 months old. I was 8,000 upside down. the finance manager told me that he could make some magic happen. long story short, i got my 06 EB EVO IX GSR with tax and license for 29,400 and some change or sumthin. tax and license alone is about 1700.00, so that means that they sold me the car for 27,700. I think that's a good deal. by the way, they lowered my apr from 14% to 7%, got me lower monthly payments, and deffered my first monthly payment for 3 months. I would truly recomend anyone thats trying to get a EVO to go to stevens creek mitsu. this deal only took about 3 hours too.

hahaha! that's what i did. i went to their dealership to get back my registration card for my trade in that i supposedly forgot(they intentionally hid it from me so i will drive back to their dealership to make further negotiations, as the guy told me they would not mail it back and i would have to pick it up). the guy who insulted me with his "you don't know the basics of mathematics" bit asked me if i already bought an evo with a smirk in his face. i told him yep! i went out and drove my car inside the dealership with concord tags! hee hee hee.
