A fun evening all in all.
A LOT of STIs (5) and numerous WRXs showed up and ran.

Not so many EVOs (2), including yours truly, showed up and ran.
:(

The good news: EVOs 1 STIs 0. For now at least.

The best a STI ran: [email protected] (my bro)
The best an EVO ran: [email protected] (yours truly)

Another STI was pulling 12.8/12.9 all night and the other EVO w/ P2 was in mid 13s.

My brothers STI did a bit better that I thought for just an exhaust and Xede.

The fun part was that there were virtually no slowasscars-being a Grudgenight.

I'm just glad my still stock clutch held together and I made it back home without hepl.(tow)

Next Grudgenight June19th...Let's see if we can get more EVOs to come out. :driving:

I embarassed my car on my first three launches....bogged them pretty bad. Once I got back in the groove, I put down a 13.4 @ 101.7 which is a personal best. It was nice meeting Tom and and another Norcal memeber at the track. My P2 is set for exhaust which I hope to get soon and that will help me improve my times as well. This was my second time dragging the car or any AWD turbo for that matter.

c16..117 octane on the racemap
I figure, if I'm going abuse the car might as well do it on the best gas... :D

it takes some time and practice dragging. especially if it's your first time dragging an awd car. in order to avoid bogging down you have to launch pretty high. upper rmps (4500k-5500k). good luck

Tom, another member and my Dad were all telling me the same thing......launch at 5500. I think it is a matter of grabbing my balls out of grandma's purse and just doing it. I launched between 5-5.5k on my best run and it felt great. I'm buying a GSR teg to commute to the bay and back soon. Once she isn't my daily driver I think it will be easier for me to beat on the EVO.

Practice is everything on these cars, don't be embarassed.
With turboback exhaust and decent launch, high 12s are definitely possible...
