If you find something to convert the cd changer connect to an aux or an rca input then you can connect the IPOD to the factory deck. Otherwise you are sol, unless you want to use an fm transmitter which i would not suggest.

I agree completely. I tried an FM transmitter and it sounded like an AM radio. Line in still the best solution for hooking up an Ipod to a deck.

i hear alpine has a unit that allows the ipod to hook into it and functions with the head unit. www.alpine-usa.com

if that doesn't work for you, you could always get an empeg. http://empeg.comms.net.

Many CD decks have aux inputs these days; some like the Aiwa even have the input in the front of the unit so you don't need to run a cable out through your dash or glovebox. Just go to a site like Crutchfield.com (don't buy from there though; their prices suck), browse CD or MP3 decks, and search for "aux input".

I plugged an iPod into my Pioneer AVIC-N1 this morning--the aux input is in the back of the hide-away unit under my passenger seat. Worked like a charm.

This page (http://www.installer.com/adapt.html) looks like it might have something like what you're looking for... Failing that, try a :google: search for something like "mitsubishi cd changer adapter cable" and you might find the part that you need.
