My buddies were giving me so much crap for adoring this car... hey, I got a thing for civic hatches! This guy was running my group, so it was cool seeing it out on track.

This was a 3-day NASA weekend.* I think a buncha cars from SoCal are up here this weekend because it's a long weekend of racing.

*EDIT*

Oh, TrackMasters had their own run group yesterday. There's always someone in TMR that brings out a nice car.

BTW, that Carrera GT was the street car of a guy who drives that Applebees GT3 Cup car on track. I heard that guy owns like 36 chain restaurants ranging from McDs to Applebees. Apparantly, they're cash cows.

a genuine CTR (looks to be).

I'm pretty sure that CTR was converted from a USDM car.* It had CA plates on it and the backseats were grey still.* Did the CTRs have red backseats? Nonetheless, it was a sweet car!* It's nice to see one of these JDM show cars out on track and in HPDE4! I was able to put many car lengths on it on the front straight though.

Yeah .. he's the uncle of one of my friends. He owns much of the Applebees in the Sacramento area and probably some other stuff. They rent out a garage at Thunderhill and he's a regular there.

Personally I like how he had a hard timing getting by two miatas in the straight and they where back on his ass in turn 1 anyway. LOL

The miata w/ the black top had a pretty spectacular off later that session. I saw him track out too far after Turn 1. There was a huge trail of dirt cloud following him, then he slid sideways across the track and then onto the dirt on the inside. He was going sideways in the dirt for at least 100 feet.. maybe more.. I seriously thought he was gonna flip! Luckily, he didn't.

Special Plate:

O FACE O

License Plate's Meaning
(180 character max):

So when I drive my Vette, I go really fast into the turns at TH, and then I show everyone my O face, you know, like O, o, o, o...

 I have no idea how that guy got that plate OK'd.

I don't want to even know how much it cost to track the Carrera GT  If he/she can afford it I guess they can afford to track it. That CTR is sweet!

nope its an actual CTR.* the backseats came in 2 colors, gray and black or charcoal grey.* the rear seats are somewhat bucket....kind of like ITR rear seats.* If it was USDM why spend all that money for JDM parts for a conversion for a track car....seems like a waste of money IMO.

that porsche carerra is some hot sex
