Hi folks:
Anyone drive these cars yet? I know the Fit seems to be winning all the reviews. But what about after modding them? The Yaris seems to have the advantage with dual cams vs a single cam in the Honda. I'm just thinking one of these cars would make a fun commute/daily driver car, especially with some light mods. I'm a bit surprised the Yaris isn't getting better reviews for its handling.

holy crap.. lol that's a lot of Yaris.
I'd definitely go with the Fit. Tons of aftermarket support and it looks 10x better than the Yaris. It probably handles better from the factory than the Yaris too.

Why the hell would you spend $1,000 on a MUFFLER for a Fit?

Mitsubishi Colt 1.5L Turbo (147 bhp) FTW. (http://www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/colt/) The non-turbo version is even available with a sequential gearbox.
Too bad it's not available here. :(

why would you ever mod a commuter car in the first place. its not practical thats like putting 18" wheels on a Prius or something

I prefer Yaris over Fit..* They have Supercharger kits for the Yaris in Japan.. i think its either Greddy, HKS or Blitz..* DOHC > SOHC..* Celica GTS motor might fit the Yaris engine bay ..

i would mod a yaris just to "have fun". fun doesn't have to mean fast.. ;) different strokes for different people i guess
i think it'd be kinda cool to own of these .. :)

Mod might be the wrong word. Tune might be a better description. Tighten up the handling, catback, small stuff just to enhance the drivability of the car. No $1K exhausts for me. I'm going to have to test drive one. These little light cars are fun. For a daily driver, a Fit is probably all I'd ever need.

I like the style of the Fit. Seems to be a bit slower correct? The Nissan mini car is supposed to be a little peppy but it's not that attractive.
