I am taking off my front bumper for my HID retrofit on friday and ran into some issues. I striped two plastic fasteners and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to remove them and where to buy them when its time for my bumper to be put back on.

see pic.

You can buy the fasteners at Concord Mitsu. I believe those come in a pack of 10?

Well you SHOULD be able to. :?

Give them a call first.

Ed you mind posting a how to on getting the bumpre off? All the ones online are for 8's and there's like one thing I"m missing to get it off. =\

You don't have to if you don't want to.

Ed I have a couple bags at home, I will get the part number tonight for you. If I remember. ;)

The best way to remove them is not to press down with the screwdriver, use a light touch and hold the base with something else, your finger, or another flathead stuck under the base slightly.

I'll be needin those too. When I did my headlight blackout I pretty much ripped em all off. I just didn't have the patience. I took off my undertray yesterday and pretty much broke em off there too. Damn, I didnt think I'd be paying $2 a piece for plastic fasteners. Thanks for that part number.

While I really like Concord Mitsu, there parts deptartment is going down the tubes. They used to have this guy Gary, he was the shi*, really knew his stuff and would work with you on price. The people I've dealt with in their parts dept. lately don't seem to know jack. :(

yea, their service dept is about the only good thing about Concord Mitsu. The guy in parts I spoke to today was VERY dry and didnt have any motivation to find the product.

Damn I should have bought those first. I actually have to contact Race Ramps because I'm apprehensive about going under the car when using them now. My ramps have huge dents in them when I drove up a little off center. What material are the rhino ramps made out of? I also don't see how anyone can use them in addition to jackstands. With my race ramps, I can't do that...

EDIT -- ok I see... Foam Plastic. Basically the same as the race ramps. But 1/6 the price.

nope just those ramps, using a jackstand is a precaution if you were using a jack to lift it up. 12k lbs capability and your just gonna be rolling up the front so i dont think its gonna collapse soon ;) ive seen these with some RV guys also and they leave it parked on it for months w/o breaking so i think youll be fine.

I bought the BeatRush aluminum undertray mainly so I wouldn't have to deal with those @)($@@# clips. Metric screws FTW. Actually it still uses about 8 clips to attach to the bumper lower lip, but that's a lot better than the 30+ clips on the whole stock undertray.

can you provide a link to where you purchase the undertray ?

getting the front bumper and undertray back on today was pretty easy. I went to autozone and got some Rhino Ramps and cheap jack stands. The ramps worked great and the undertray wasnt that bad to get back on.

Sliding a tack puller behind those clips to put tension on them helps a TON when you get to ones that don't want to come out when you try unscrewing them.* It works WAY better than a screwdriver.* In fact, you can just pry them completely off w/ a big enough tack puller.
