Was surfing around trying to get some info on track events, etc., and I found this page at the NorCal Shelby Club (http://www.norcal-saac.org/ot/otbook.htm): an "Open Track Driver's Primer" handbook and more interestingly, track tutorials--turn-by-turn how-to's for driving Laguna Seca, Sears Point, and Thunder Hill. Thought I'd post the link since other people might find it useful. http://www.norcal-saac.org/ot/otbook.htm

Found even better ones (more detailed, and with photos) from the PCA's (Porsche Club of America) CoastalDriving.org (http://www.coastaldriving.org) website:

Good stuff! Now I can see where I can try to pick up still more time on Buttonwillow.

...are you planning a day at the track, Tam? :)

Definitely, but it would have to be (a) not conflicting with my auto-x schedule, (b) with a club that is really big on safety and instruction (e.g. NCRC (http://www.ncracing.org/) or PCA (http://www.coastaldriving.org/)), (c) at a beginner-friendly track (THill, Buttonwillow, Reno-Fernley). Hopefully I'll make it happen within the next couple months... 8)
