it's time for some gauges.

52mm defi d-gauges:
boost
egt
oil pressure
fuel pressure

i thinking three down the a-pillar and one on perhaps the steering column. i'm wondering if that is going to be to crowded though? i could only find a couple of pictures of peoples gauge installs. vtluu, props to your custom cutting and painting job. so, does anybody have pictures of their gauges installed?

Yeah, Ive been looking for the triple a-pillar mount, but I cant seem to find one. Anyone know where I can find one, and the price? Also, what happens to the stock tweeter when you use the a-pillar mount?

autometer makes a triple a-pillar pod.
http://hp.autometer.com/products/mounting_solutions/pillar_import/pillar_import.html

the tweeter will fit (atleast in the dual pillars i've seen).

i was thinking i'd just get some hoops or cups and bolt the gauges on.

i have the defi d boost only and i mounted it right next to the pillar, next to the tweeter. it's in perfect visual sight for me to see and stealthy enough not to be noticed from outside the car. out of plain view to avoid the attention from the cops. you could check it out at the meet. don't have any other gauges at the moment, but i plan on getting the defi hud link system at a later time.

I mounted my boost gauge on the right side of the steering column. Doesn't look pimpin, but it works.

on the a-pillar.. always wanted it there before i got a turbo car.. and have it there now.. good place ot have it..

lotek/guagepods makes the best replacement pods out there for different cars.. if they dont already make some for EVOs u definitely should tel em to consider.. great prices too. and use CLUBDSM as a code for more discount..

IMO, A-pillar gauges look cool in coupes, but funny in sedans. I had a-pillar gauges in my 1g and 2g. It always made me paranoid parking on the street though. So now I have my greddy boost gauge mounted in a gauge cup on the right side of the steering column on my EVO.

BluEvo is 100% correct. there are a few companies that make a DIN pannel for 3 gauges, and they face you too. I went the cheap way and just cut my holes into the mitsu radio deletion cover for the gauges.

it may have been cheap, but it doesn't look cheap. plus paying about $6-$10 leaves money left over to more goodies :D

i do know of a shop that carries the DIN holders for Evo in stock. at least the last time i was there. they showed me a DIN that they installed in a couple Evos. The shops is called NRG Performance (next door to EXACT Motorsports) off Main St in Milpitas.

Triple gauge din panel is only $20 here:
http://www.42draftdesigns.com/mk4tgp.htm

It looks way cleaner than a cut up radio delete plate.

here is my one lonesome Defi D Boost gauge (52mm). installed in a stealthy undetectable area from the outside looking in, while in perfect view for the driver.

I can line em up for you on the dash (Defi's are nice lookin)and not use the pods ;) minimal wires seen as long as it is electronic gauges. Drop by and I can shine some light on where. Better than a phone call I say.

:)
