I never even knew about these and I just saw one drive by our apartments in Pleasant Hill. Looks like they have Ford GT wheels and the retro stripes from the original GT350 & GT500's. I imagine the 500 has to do something with the horsepower rating. I have to jump in the shower for work so I don't have time to research it  The car looked pretty nice I guess for a Ford. Here's what it looked like.

yea those are the ones that dealers are marking up like close to 100k. i believe msrp is like what 50k nice cars but not for 100k for what the dealers are asking for.

I read it's a 4000lb. battle tank. *Overpriced, the 03 cobras are a lot better. *

The Hertz's ones only have ~325hp, the GT500s have 500. I wouldn't mind renting one from Hertz and just have fun in it for a day, they upgraded the suspension on those too =)

its going to make alot more power then an 03 cobra because its the same motor just a 5.4 not 4.6 its going to be insane. i actually have seen 3 of them in 3 days lol. 1st was a orange with silve stripes then a while with blue stripes and a red with white stripes(my fav.)

but through a KB on there any i bet they will break 650+ a 03/04 with a kb will make 600 so a 5.4 will probaby be more like 650 or more.

I would never buy from any dealership that price gouges or tries to charge over msrp.. its just insane. These things should be sold on a first come first serve basis. Its amazing how backwards our domestic car companies are... lets finally build a car that everyone wants and that we could actually make a profit off of, and yet we have no way of keeping up with demand meanwhile all of our delerships are just jacking people off on the price.

The new mustang handles very well surprisingly. Chassis is very stiff now.

They are selling on ebay for about 55 to 60k. Really insane when you consider msrp is about 45k. :?

Bout a month ago, my curious ass passed by Stevens Creek Ford and the MSRP on the showroom Shelby was around 46K with a 20k markup!! Honestly, i wasn't that impressed. The side skirts and lip (non-CF, by the way) look and felt cheap among other things. One guy was gonna buy it cuz he wanted a Shelby... think i'd rather have a new Z06 (sumthin like 300lbs lighter), but that's just me

The Z06 is more like 700 lbs lighter the then Shelby. C&D couldn't get the Shelby to keep up with a regular C6 let alone the Z06. There're just different kinds of cars.

Z06 is definitely a better deal, for the markup money. The Shelby version is what Ford "should" be mass producing. If they offered models like this more readily (across their whole product line) that would help turn the company around. But IMHO...they need to stop building "parts bin" cars and trucks to stay alive.

... precisely.. FORD IS DUMB!.. haha.. its embarassing that their plan is to make a car that at most should cost 40K.. then undersupply it to keep there dealers happy so they can make outrageous margins on the car.. instead of actually producing a car thats worth that kind of money..

FORD>> WHY DONT YOU JUST CREATE A 650HP MUSTANG THAT CAN ACTUALLY HANDLE AND THEN SELL IT FOR 60K.. obviously some people are stupid enough to be buying these things are mark up.

^^Ya know 99% of mustang owner olny care what the car will do in the 1/4 mile.
For them IRL=FTL because a solid axle will handle the torque better than an IRS.
