View Full Version : Veracom Mitsu Not So Good (long)

I really didn't want it to come down to this, but it has.* My experience with Veracom has not been a great one.*

I purchased my car on August 30th, and traded in my old car as part of the deal.* I still had a balance on the old vehicle so it was understood, like all trade in's with an outstanding balance, that the dealership will take care of the rest of the amount due on that loan.* Now, on my previous loan, I had my payment set up were the Credit Union would automatically deduct my monthly payment on the 20th of every month.* Knowing this, shortly after the 20th of Sept. I checked my account to make sure there was no deduction.*

Well, it turns out there was.* My first thought was, the CU didn't "turn off" the automatic deduction.* So I go down to the CU to inquire about the payment.* They showed me that the loan had not been paid off and there still was a balance.* So the first thing I do, is call my sales person, Dan P., to see if he can give me some info on whats going on with the payoff. He tells me he will find out and let me know.* After not receiving feedback for a couple of days, I give him a call again.* He tells me that he has spoken with the department that deals with the payoffs and that it should be taken care of soon.* So I wait.* I send Dan a couple of emails just asking for some kind of update, no response.* So I call him again.* He now tells me they want me to fax over my statement showing there was a payment deducted and showing there was a balance due.* So I do.* I confirm that he received my fax and all the information is squared away.* I give it a few days and then call my CU to see if it has been paid off.* But of course it hasn't.* I call Dan, this time no answer.* I later receive a call from him saying that he checked on my status and that both the payoff and my reimbursement check are in the mail.* Once again, I wait a few days then call my CU again to check if it has been paid off.* They tell me it hasn't.*

I'm pretty frustrated at this point.* Obviously nothing is getting done.* I try talking to the GM of Veracom, leaving him messages and I get no response.* I tried my best to avoid taking the drive there, but I'm left with no choice.* I went down there today.* No managers are present.* I'm then told again, the check was sent yesterday.* So the CU should receive it soon.* I'm also told that there won't be any managers there until Monday to sign my reimbursement check.* So I leave with nothing.* All I get is apologies and promises that they will follow up and take care of it.* I sure hope they do take care of it because the 20th of Oct. is coming and there will be another payment due.* While all of this is going on, I have my payment on my Evo due not to mention the insurance.* Did I forget to mention that I'm a student and just started a new quarter so that means I have books and tuition to pay?*I have been squeezing every penny since this has happend.* When this all started, I told Dan on how important it was that I get this taken care of quickly.* Yet here I am still taking care of it.* I'm just lucky that I didn't bounce any checks or miss any payments.* Had I not checked, my good credit would have taken the toll.*

I'm not here to say don't shop at Veracom, I'm just letting you know what I've gone and am going through.* You guys make the choice.

I have had that kind of situation with almost every car dealership that I have bought a car at, I did purchase my car from Veracom in December and surprisingly enough they were the only dealership that got the car paid off before the next payment was due.

I happen to know the owner there so if you need any help in straightening this out I can try to put in a call for you.

What a load of SH*T! There is always a manager present. If not, there would be no car deals and I highly doubt they would go a whole weekend without a sales manager, weekends are when cars get sold. What a bunch of a$$holes. I hate dealerships like that. Thats why I quit working at Fresno Mitsu after a week there. The GM held my last paycheck, so I had to go down there and argue with him on the showroom floor, in front of customers, it was fuggin' great tho!

So after almost two months, I'm finally able to say that the loan on my previous car has finally been paid off. Only thing I am waiting on now is my reimburstment check. Now I actually have some breathing room financially. :)

Hmmm, you are not the only one with a bad experience with Veracom. It took them over a month to pay off the loan on my trade in and now over 6 months later they have not completed the DMV paperwork. I spoke to Lisa, their office manager who told me the paperwork was misplaced and was fed-exed to DMV over 2 months ago, but amazingly it never arrived. These people at Veracom are some of the biggest flakes and liars I have ever dealt with. They will promise you the world and never call you back. They do not care about their customers one bit. I would expect this with some fly by night scummy dealership, but with a name to uphold they have done nothing at all to impress me. I have given them too many chances to redeem themselves, but they have not done one thing other than to ignore me. I paid for the registration fees and have gotten nothing in return. Now my only recourse is to pay the fees myself and take them to court to recoup.Â* Stay Away From VERACOM, a dealership with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. FLAKES 100%.

im not sure if this helps but he might give a call to the dealership to get the ball rolling if anyone has future problems.

Ehhhh....my buying experience with Veracom was also less than ideal.....I didn't have a payoff problem because my used car was already paid off....but the first time I went in the "Used Car Manager" guaranteed me 10K for the Accord....shoulda got that ish in writing.....when I went in to sign all the papers and pick up the car they said they looked at the car again and now worth 7K.......Still trying to figure out how my employee discounted MR still ended up at 36K OTD....when other MR owners with normal pricing were getting 33K OTD.......so I paid 3K more for what....the lip and a different BBS finish and some red stitching????

Bah whatever.....too late now.....

Boycott Veracom. No managers there...was anyone selling kaa's or was it a big @$$ party. Call the BBB and tell them your story. Maybe we should start a thread on places that everyone should avoid, local stealerships being on the top. I know if/ when I upgrade, I won't be putting my money down at any stealership around here. Hell...I'll fly out to Maine and drive one back...Screw these @$$clowns. Does anyone have anything nice to say about a stealership??? Anyone...

I really think southcoast and its group is the way to go. or at least they were. I called the BBB on roseville mits. They were screwed outta last year, this year and possible next years awards. No trophies for idiots.

I think by word of mouth most people tend to avoid certain dealerships. Â*I had a similar experience at veracom. Â*I won't ever go back for anything.

I was shopping for my IX. Â*They quoted me below MSRP-similar to south coast pricing at the time-for a IX MR. Â*They kept calling me insisting i go down and check them out. Â*I got there-they jacked up the price to nerly 40k. Â*On top of that they tried to give me less than 50% of the blue book value of my trade in. Â*

That was just the pricing. Â*The sales manager was an idiot. Â*Wouldn't let me test me drive it, said he had a lot more IX GSR's in another lot, but refused to have one over to test drive until after I signed on the dotted line for around 36k iirc before all the Â*other stuff.

To top that all off, the sales person I was dealing with did/said absolutely nothing. Â*I was thinking in my head "he is going to try and sell this to me right?" Â*he knew absolutely nothing about the car. Â*Made no sales pitch. Â*Just unlocked the door, and leaned up against the wall as I just kind of sat there.

As if it couldn't get any worse the passenger side bumper was jacked up, and there were scratches all over that side of the car. Â*Apparently they would "buff out" when I signed for the car. Â*

So what else is new? Veracom is about as lousy as Steven's Creek.

MAB1025
06-21-2007, 11:29 PM
Aside from the pricing at Veracom I dont see any real reason why anyone is complaining. Most of us on here already knew what we were buying when we picked up our EVO's. So whats the BFD? So what the salesman didn't know what the car was all about, so what that the manager didnt let you test drive. Would you have bought an EVO that had been test driven before. I wouldn't want it, we all hear horror stories about the salesman dogging the shit out of brand new EVO's while on a test drive.

I went to both SRM and Veracom when I was trying to get my EVO. SRM didn't let me test drive and neither did Veracom. The reason I went with Veracom is because when I needed an additional $1000 in order to make the deal, Veracom upped my trade in amount where SRM didn't and sold me the car.

I had LOTS of trouble finding a good dealer with Evo's that I could actually see.

When I went to Stevens Creek-they were worlds better than any of the other places I had talked to.

The GSR I got, had been test driven, but its been nothing but great so far. *Knocks on wood then runs to pray to the car gods, then gets MMNA warranty line on speed dial, gets AAA card out of wallet, checks money in bank account*

I test drove a AS evo 9 with 5 miles on it. I got to Redline it through 1-3 and then ran out of room to go....:D. At Steven's Creek....hence why I bought a new black one with 7 on it :D

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I had the same thing happen to me except it was only a part of a loan on a $7000 car that I traded that wasn't quite paid off. I couldn't imagine having two large car payments early on. Wait a sec my wife and I pay to larger car payments each month  :(

Well, I am finally getting some satisfaction. I filed a complaint with the DMV against Veracom. The investigator from DMV told me Veracom was facing administrative action from the DMV as they had broken the law by not completing my DMV paperwork within 90 days. Since the car I bought from them was not legal to drive on the road it stayed parked for over 3 months. Now I think I am going to take them to court and sue them for loss of use of the car I purchased from them. Do I feel bad.......not one bit.

Me and my old company Kwick Silver used to be side contracted with veracom awhile back, very bad service even to side contractors, when i went to buy my evo back in April, the car had blotches which looked like the clear was comming off, or starting to peel, i made an appointment with them, to see the Mitsubishi rep, and what happined was i waited 8 hours for nothing but free gas, i like gas but its not worth 8 hours for....Veracom is going down the drain....or thats what it seems like

Veracom is still in business and doing pretty well actually, yes, there are issues here and there but thats just car business. Anywhere you go it isnt going to be much better.

Im sorry that you folks feel like you have been ripped off in some way or another. Enjoy your cars!

went to veracom for 4 transmision issues, all mainly being the syncros but they failed every time. I just gave up and have a f***ed up time shifting to 2nd lol. It really isnt worth it to attempt doin it again and the way the lemon law process is set up, id have a b*tch of a time trying to even claim it. I thought about bringing it to a different dealership but afraid my warrenty would be voided now since ive done more mods since i had it in.

Well, back here again with an update. In my previous posts I wrote what a bad time I was having with Veracom. After getting the DMV on their asses to get my registration completed they finally got things taken care of. Since I was unable to drive my car for 3 months due to their negligence I took them to small claims court and sucessfully won the case (3 months payments for loss of use of the car). Made me feel good these jerks who did nothing but give me the run-around got what they deserved, to be hit in the wallet. Not only this, the DMV investigator who handled my case told me I was not the only one who had problems with registration problems with Veracom, he was on thier A** like a shi*** diaper. I guess I finally got even with them for being the biggest jerks I have ever dealt with. Never again will I deal with this dealership, full of excuses and never anyone available when you call with a problem. Buyer beware of this stealership.

Yah I have a not so good story about when I bought my car there. And I had no financing or anything. All cash and a trade in. Asking people to fill out their survey "completely satisfied" when they are in the middle of screwing you on your trade in is just down right ballsy. And I build surveys, so there is no way in hell I was going to lie on it about my experience for people trying to screw me.

To fix that, they just never sent me the survey at all. I almost wonder if they just filled it out and put my name on it.

I purches my AS MR SE from them last March. There was no trade involved but it still took forever to seal the deal. I was able to purchase my car for 1200 less than the southcoast price. In my opinon, that whole office staff from the weynch behind the reciptionion desk to the finance dept. should be canned.

JDMevoBOOST
04-11-2008, 11:45 AM
The thing is...Veracom is a family owned dealership....nobody is getting canned, because everyone is someone's aunt, uncle, brother, sister, grandma, etc. which is koo if they know what they are doing.

man "fuq" Veracom, cuttin my story short....about 4months ago... so i broght my ix there for service in the mornin, before i turned the key in, i went around my car and checked if there were any scratches (yes, im one of those mofo go krzy with one scratch)...... it was cool.... .

in the afternoon i went to pick up my car....i went around my car again.....i saw about an half inch round dent with scratch.................... i went back in...and i asked that fukface nub why is there a dent on my bumper.. he shrugged.... i like AHHHHHHh fuck! show me your cameras atleast prove you guys didnt do it... .. he told me theres no camera around....... i don't know if it was true that they got no cameras, but to me it was bs because they got like 20 cars parked outside... how they gonna claim insurance if their car got jacked and no film? that moment i knew they aint gonna do anythin to about it...

so.... i went into my car and looked for my baseball bat...was about to fuck their cars up since they got no cameras.... but 4got i took out the baseball bat and everything that mornin for car wash/service........ i took a deep breath and made up a mind never gonna brin my car there AGAIN!

i thought they would give high quality service, since they are located in Burlingame, but serious they are SAD.
