My buddy is building a 400whp Monster turbo Honda and he is gona use water injections but he is gona make it a 50/50 mix of water / Methonal to get even better results. My ? is can u do this mix with thew works water injection kits?

For those wondering why methonal is because when it burns it burns cold and will drop Intake temps even more than just water alone prob a good 20% or so more

Yes, that type of mixture can work great with a water injection system. The normal tune is for distilled water only, but you could go to a more aggressive tune with a better mixture like a 50/50 mix of water and methanol

would that allows for more boost on 91 gas, Tyler?

That’s definitely a possibility; also you can retard less timing up top, because of the lowered chance of detonation.

Water injection lowers intake charge temps and effectively raises the octane of your fuel.

It doesn't effect smog at all.

Actually, to be more specific, it improves smog results by displacing unburnt hydrocarbons with water vapor (steam) when appropriate changes are made to the AF/R (leaning out) to compensate for the H20.

WI is also exempt from CARB certification requirments -- it is one of the few mods that made the automatic exemption list from what I understand.
