Friend of mine got his for $300 from "a guy" (friend of his) who has a stack of 'em in his garage. If you're interested, PM me and I'll put you in touch with him.

when riding these bikes, does the law require you to wear a full faced helmet or can you use a bicycle helmet?

i think that you are suppose to wear a full faced helmet. eeehh what i do i know, i just want one. i'll have to search and find out. i know that you are not suppose to ride them on public roads, but i see alot of peeps doing it anyways.

My buddie has a 50cc that he carries in the back of his GTI. Those things are fun...if you get one, you have to bring it to the meets!

sure can. The 49cc pocketbike tops out at 30mph. Slap in an aftermarket exhaust pipe and that should top out to 45mph. There's a store down the great mall that sells these but you'll find them cheaper at the flea market in san jose.

There is a place you can watch these minis in action in fremont at that Kart raing place..i forgot what the name of the place but its off of brown st. near mission blvd....also you can pop a wheelie cuz i have done it..but you have to be careful cuz you will get hurt worst than a real bike cuz your closer to the ground so instead of bouncing around your more to just slide...

Did you ever get yours BluEvo? still deciding on that. i heard that they are trying to rule the mini-bikes under the law of having a Class M license to operate on the streets. they have not been enforcing it full force, but when they make a decision on that, cops will be busting peeps for them. not cool at all! :?

If I'm not mistaken these "pocket bikes" as well as go karts are not street legal. Besides lacking power....they aren't really visable to other drivers- they are too low.

I hate them with a fiery passion.

There is a story today on Wired.com that says how these are both street illegal and how you must 1. wear a helmet when riding them and 2. have a motorcyle license in order to drive them. And now cops are cracking down on people for riding them.

Check out the story here. CLICK ME (http://www.wired.com/news/autotech/0,2554,64019,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_5)

I just hate pocket bikes. Keep mowing lawns and buy a shitty 250cc bike.

if you want to ride it on the street you also have to have a front headlight and taillights

I think you need more than that, but where I live we own some land, so I go out and ride it out there with no problems.

These things rock. You have to be careful though because most cops are dicks about these things...just don't ride them on the street :D .

Here is my little beast...

no offense to any mini-bike owners, but anything that loud should either go 150mph or blow leaves

Well, mine does about 35 and its pretty damn quiet. My lawn mower puts out way more noise.

pocket bikes are conciderd a kids toy so they can be ridden by anyone anywhere as far as I know but you can always get a compaint by someone that will force the police to take some action the super bike which is the next size up is what I want I think you don't have to have a Licence or anything for something under 49cc but the laws are always interpreted differently by different citys and oficers In SJ there are gangs of pocket and mini bikers that ride around the streets maybe their looking for GoPeds to race. 8)

where did you guys get your bikes at ?
this is what i was told, i was told the 49cc will do 40-45mph , with intake and pipes (exhaust ) it will do 15mph more.
He kept on saying that he can build them to do 80mph+ with port and polish, carbs (german) and other things to it. its also a 3 speed bike.
can you guys let me know what you guys think???

yea my friend is in a league for pocket bikes down in socal you can wheelie if you want to mess it up theres no suspension and if you come donw hard you can bend things. You really have to yank em back to get them up for a 3 second duration I wouldn't recomend it if you don't want to jack up your bike
