Probably though I think it probably should be coupled with other engine changes (turbo, cams).

BTW, it's not really the "MR" wastegate (or turbo, etc.). All '05 Evos have the same engine and turbo.

...don't think so, wastegates are internal on Evo turbos, you'd have to change the whole unit.

You can just swap turbine housings and you'll get the new style wastegate. I'm not sure if the wastegate actuators are the same between the 03-04s and the new 05s. Anyone know?
